Please tell us a bit about your business. What makes you different?
Rival House is a boutique fitness community based in Brisbane, co-owned by Brodie and Trent. Brodie is the self-proclaimed “boss,” always on the floor bringing energy and making members feel at home (even mid-burpee). Trent, with 11+ years of experience, is the “King of the Kids” and an Excel nerd who tracks performance like a scientist. Together, they’ve built a welcoming, family-style environment where hard work and fun go hand in hand.
Where are you located?
Kedron, Brisbane.
Have you used other software before?
Yes — we explored three or four different gym software companies, compared quotes, and tested what they offered before choosing Clubworx.
What made you look for new member management software?
We needed a platform that was cost-competitive, flexible, and able to grow with us — not just an expensive system that overpromised and underdelivered.
What features/functionality were you looking for in your business?
- Clear communication and support from the provider
- Customisable features that fit our needs
- A branded app option so members can find Rival House in the App Store/Google Play
- Tools to engage our community (like push notifications)
How do Clubworx meet these?
Clubworx delivered on all fronts. They were transparent about timeframes, never rushed us through onboarding, and were always open to feature requests. The ability to upgrade to a Rival House white-label app was a standout, and their support team has been consistently responsive.
What is your favourite Clubworx feature?
The push notification tool. Our community vibe is everything, and being able to reach members instantly through the app keeps everyone connected.
How has using Clubworx made your life easier?
It simplified management while giving us flexibility to scale. Payments, communication, and feature requests are easier, and the whole experience feels supportive rather than transactional. It’s software that feels like a partner, not just a platform.
