Tips for Generating More Leads for Your Personal Training Studio

The number one reason most businesses fail is because they expect the customers to find them. In reality, it's a business's job to find customers. When you own a business, opportunity doesn't knock, you have to go out and find it. Here are three tips to help you generate more leads for your Personal Training Studio:

  1. Get active in the online community. If you're not already, becoming active in your industry's online community will be integral to finding new leads. Why? Because that's where consumers are going to find information about your industry. If your name and business start to pop up on these forums and question-asking websites, attached to helpful, informative, and valuable answers and posts, you'll begin to build the authority and name recognition that naturally brings people to your business. This isn't a place to sell, it's a place to solve problems (which will covertly sell your services for you). To find a forum, search for your gym's niche plus the word forum. Always remember to include your website in your signature within these online communities so potential clients can find out more about you and your business.
  1. Partner with other complimentary businesses near your studio. This is an excellent way to build some social karma. Find a business in your area that provides goods or services that are complimentary to your services, but are not your direct competition. For example, a health food store is a great vendor for a gym to connect with. Create a promotion that will appeal to the customers of that store (for example, offer them a percentage off of membership if they spend more than $X at that store in a month), and post it in that store. Don't offer something weak or make a promise that you can't keep. If the store wants to advertise or promote something in your gym, be willing to let them.
  1. Don't give up on email marketing. Email marketing is still one of the most useful types of digital marketing, despite it being one of the oldest. The right email will compel the readers to take immediate action. Composing that right email is not as easy as it sounds. Come up with, write, and test many different versions to see which is the most effective. And don't forget to proofread!

A management system like personal trainer software can help you keep track of incoming leads and those that you convert to sales. This type of analysis will keep you focused on your goal and moving forward.
